An open reference platform
Confronting inequality, violence & misogyny — with evidence.
A searchable record of historical and modern atrocities, systemic inequality and rights violations against women — paired with rigorous research, actionable solutions, and a live global news feed. Built so survivors, researchers, journalists, and advocates can find facts fast.
The Wake-Up Archive
Untold Realities — facts that got swept under the rug
Deeply documented, systemically erased or downplayed abuses and structural inequities — from medical experimentation performed on enslaved women without anesthesia, to laws that made marital rape legal in parts of the United States until 1993, to a national-accounting formula from the 1930s that still writes women's unpaid labor out of GDP. 1. Awareness & Intuition
Trust primal danger cues. Avoid target indicators (distraction, isolated paths). Maintain active peripheral scanning in transition zones (parking lots, stairwells, transit).
2. Verbal Boundary Setting
Use loud, unambiguous, non-negotiable verbal commands with physical distance: "STOP! STEP BACK!" Break social conditioning to remain polite in the face of boundary violations.
3. High-Leverage Vulnerable Targets
In physical defense against larger, stronger attackers, focus strikes solely on non-muscular vulnerable anatomy: eyes, throat/windpipe, nose, groin, and shin/knee joints.
4. Break & Disengage
The sole objective of civilian self-defense is to stun, disrupt the attack trajectory, create a window of escape, and reach safety immediately — never to engage in prolonged grappling.
⚡ Primary Vulnerable Anatomy (Gross Motor Targets)
When an attacker has size and weight advantage, muscle density offers little protection against these high-vulnerability structures:
Eyes (Gouge / Palm Scratch)
Causes involuntary blinking, tearing, head recoil, and immediate disorientation regardless of attacker size.
Nose (Heel Palm Strike)
Drives head backward, produces instant lacrimation (tears), and impairs vision.
Throat & Windpipe (Trachea Strike)
Even light pressure induces severe coughing, airway restriction, and panic response.
Solar Plexus / Floating Ribs
Diaphragm spasm disrupts breath mechanics, temporarily incapacitating forward momentum.
Groin (Heel Kick / Knee Strike)
Direct knee strike or driving kick bends the attacker forward, lowering their head for follow-up strikes or immediate sprint escape.
Shin & Instep (Stomp / Scrape)
Stamping the instep or scraping down the tibia ruptures balance and forces leg retraction.
